Logística Humanitária na Operação Covid-19 e a necessidade de atualização doutrinária

Abstract

The occurrence of major catastrophes at the beginning of this century increased the demand for operations of humanitarian aid and provided new studies in the logistics area, inaugurating a sub-area, the Humanitarian Logistics. In view of this, in Brazil and in the world, the Armed Forces have been called to act through humanitarian missions, in areas affected by environmental disasters, migratory crises and, more recently, in the pandemic of the new coronavirus, SARS-COV-2. In this context, a bibliographic and documentary research was carried out on the topic of humanitarian logistics and on the reports of Operation COVID-19, which revealed the lack of a military doctrine dedicated to the topic of Humanitarian Logistics.
