Combate à pirataria marítima no Golfo da Guiné: contribuição à soberania e ao desenvolvimento nacionais

Abstract

The present monography has the general objective to verify how the wage against maritime piracy, in the Gulf of Guinea, by the Brazilian Navy, can contribute to the security and development of Brazil. To achieve the purpose of this paper, we used the methodology based on Vergara (2016), joining the explanatory as to the purpose of the work with the bibliographic and field as for the medium. The main theoretical references deal with the themes Power, Geopolitics, Naval Diplomacy, Maritime Piracy and International Relations, subsidized in the methodology of research of Bibliographic to describe the Brazilian Strategic Environment, South Atlantic, types of power, international relations, Russian maritime strategy, USA for Sub-Saharan Africa, Belt and Road Initiative, National Defense Policy and its Strategy, Maritime Piracy and Naval Diplomacy. In this sense, the work was intended to explain how the cooperation between the States in the Strategic environment, the members of the Community of Portuguese Language, the Zone of Peace and Cooperation of the South Atlantic (ZOPACAS), can influence the security and development of Brazil. For the improvement of studies abroad, the text also has documentary research emphasized in the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil of 1988, in the publications of the Brazilian Navy, Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including geopolitics sites such as Geopolit Futures, Stratfor, Mercator Institute for China Studies, renowned for use in scientific research.
